Here's the update, guys! Sorry about its lateness. :'D

Further to this, I'm going to take Monday's update off - the Thursday update is going to be a double-pager to make up for it, though. I'm re-jigging some parts of the scenes to come so I need a bit of time to plan things. -v-;

Now, I need to bed. Good night! Have a happy start to your weekend, everyone, and thanks for reading!

P.S. Thanks to everyone who watched the stream! ;v;*

As a rock nerd who studied geology, I love the Defender even more O.O Although he isn't exactly dad of the year material lol. Is it sad this is probably the closest I think they've been in years?

And horrible thought, of the caster aside, can he make a big pile of rocks to squish the beast? >.>

If the novel is anything to judge by, he could probably skewer it with an Earth Pike, or shake things up with an Earthquake. Though the latter would probably cause more collateral damage, so he might prefer the former.

Oh wait... I forgot about the shield against elemental attacks. XD; He might pretty much be able to trap it, and maybe make stuff fall on it.

Thank you, Rufi *hugs* ...and also for streaming <3

Thank you for the warning =)

Seems like defender is having fun - and his son is afraid...

Impenetrable Wall
Stepping Stone

Edit: is he an earth or a rock lethian??? ^_^'

Scia 16th Sep 2017, 3:02 AM edit delete reply
I think it'd be Earth. There's a lot of overlap with Lethian abilities between the comic and the novel, and in the novel, Stone Shield is an Earth technique. (They use Earth, Air, Fire, Water, and then Light and Shadow.) Each element also seems to have its own "Pillar" technique, so Rock Pillar fits that pattern, even though it wasn't used in the novel (as far as I can tell - I didn't write notes on it, anyway).

I love this guy!! excellent job as always. How is your comic always so adorbs :D
Wido 16th Sep 2017, 3:10 AM edit delete reply
Not only his an earth lethian, he also knows "the truth", right? he's not using any weapon for casting his lethiace

Yet, the beast has elemental resistance, so I wan't to know what is the defender going to do after imprison it

Well, I would suggest letting Kylie freeze it - ice cube/popsickle technique... ;)

...but I fear the puppy will jump the (for the lil'puppy relative low) fence before defender is finished...

Walling it up might buy some time, but how much?

As for worrying about lateness, - don't. :)
mjkj 16th Sep 2017, 6:18 AM edit delete reply
I fear not much...

...looks like it could easily jump the lil'fence...

...if it would think of that...

megados 17th Sep 2017, 6:56 AM edit delete reply
That's what I wonder; can it break the wall, and is it so focused looking down that it fails to look up?

*edit: Does it have it's own perspective, or is that determined by Speedcaster?

Time to put this behemoth down...ROCK HARD. XP

Definitely seems like someone you wouldn't want to mess with here.

Looks like Briar is realizing the errors of his ways as his father works on the behemoth problem there, breaking down over the various panels.

The stone fence makes sense. We've already seen that the beast reflects elemental magic so a stone pike attack on the creature would just bounce off. I wonder how the creature would respond to clerical white magic?

Oddly badass!

...Aww man, those tears...

Okay, I had to come back to this one after thinking a little about things... and the result is that I can only post the following. Sorry Rufi! I owe so many goldra here...

The Defender, he just can't seem to avoid walking a rocky road. Or eating Rocky Road. A man must rock what life gives him, after all! These puns may Marr your day, but Tuff it out. :)
Kattapuss 20th Sep 2017, 11:08 AM edit delete reply
Aw, Briar-child... :'( He seems to finally understand that his dad does actually care for him.
The dad in question looks almost bored in that last panel though. He's tired of all this nonsense xD

(that continuous "Eeeeeeeee" is still going on in the background, by the way)

*Gasp!* I missed a great opportunity to make rock puns! D:
(But it's 8am right now and I'm waiting for a lab class and the professor is apparently MIA... way too sleepy to think of puns right now -__- )
