You do realize you basically summed up the Jedi order with this Lethian stuff, right? Kids being taken away at a young age to train to use and control their latent powers, and that, to loose control of your emotions makes your powers go crazy. The only part you're missing is how there are a group of people who harnessed the dangerously emotional form of the power and used it for evil(aka the Sith). I haven't even read the whole webcomic, so I'll be keeping an eye out for that as the story continues XD
