Ok, THIS TIME I didn't know xD

I mean, it was pretty obvious that Cain and Abel (for pete's sake, CAIN and ABEL) had issues, but my bet was that Abel got rid of Cain BEFORE he could do anything.

The idea that Cain really tried to take out Abel (and that others died because of it) is surprising :) Loved it!

Question is, why? o_o

Also: first time first comment xD

I'm glad you liked the page! :D Thank you!

This page is... OK I am short of adjectives. So much suffering laid bare. The pained look on Kylie in the third panel: "What do I deserve?"

Terrific job. Please keep going.
rufiangel 31st Oct 2014, 11:51 AM edit delete reply
Awww, thank you!! :D Both Cain and Kylie are going to have a lot of difficult expressions during this conversation, so I'm glad to hear they're coming across well.

I really appreciate your encouraging words, I'll keep doing my best!
mjkj 29th Oct 2014, 9:03 PM edit delete reply

...poor Kylie *hugs her*

So, Cain tried to kill Abel but did not succeed but instead his father and others died.

It says nothing about Cain's fault there. It seems Cain tried to kill Abel and Abel killed all the others blaming Cain. (Did I get that right?)

PS: Love the expression of Kylie in the lower panel seven...

PPS: *lol* @alt text

I can't say too much but I will say that I was very careful and deliberate with how Cain worded what happened. :) Not to say Cain isn't telling the truth! Though... well. ;)

Yeah, I am looking forward to learning all that transpired in that event...

The cute animals told him to kill. ;-)

Oh gosh, that's like a Disney princess film gone horror. O_O;;;;

Now I'm imagining Cain dressed up as Snow White. 8-o ;-)

Oh boy, Cain is lucky I saw this comment *after* I drew him in another costume. XD;;;
Outlaw 29th Oct 2014, 9:42 PM edit delete reply
Dang, I didn't see that coming.
Cain's a deep and complex fellow.

Also, I'm enjoying all the late night revelations! Keep it up, my friend!
rufiangel 31st Oct 2014, 11:54 AM edit delete reply
He really is! To the point that occasionally, a RL friend will ask me 'hey, what's up with Cain?' and all I can do is writhe on the spot going 'uhmmmmmmm' XD;;;

Thank you muchas for your support, Outlaw!! I really appreciate it :D
Headgamer 29th Oct 2014, 10:10 PM edit delete reply
I don't know why, but I kind of figured Cain tried to kill Able. Maybe it was the name or something. I just assume Able really really deserved it and/or Cain had no chose. We know Able isn't an upright guy right?

Still need to go back and re-read that chapter about Kylie.... (Thanks for the link)

Also: Cain's father deserved to die for naming his children Cain and Able. As if he WANTED them to kill each other.... Sadistic bastard...
(J/k, j/k XD)
CiciEnixa 30th Oct 2014, 9:00 AM edit delete reply
Yeah, I mean, it's like he read about Cain and Abel in some religious text but didn't read far enough in to realize the hate, tragedy and animosity that will befall them XD
Headgamer 31st Oct 2014, 12:51 AM edit delete reply
Haha, ya.
Like he wanted a tradishinal biblical name for whatever reason so he had someone draw up a list of possabilities and was like: "Cain & Able... They were brothers right? Let's just go with that."

rufiangel 31st Oct 2014, 12:00 PM edit delete reply
Some fun, biblical trivia!

'Cain', in Greek, means 'acquisition' or 'possession'. This was Eve's way of saying, I have begotten a son from the Lord - i.e. Cain is a given possession. It is a name that connotes powerful worth/value.

'Abel' actually means 'vanity'. In other words, it is Eve's way of saying, Cain was enough for me; having a second son is really just a luxury, an extra little gem in my crown that doesn't *have* to be there.

This might make you think a little about the relationship between Cain and Abel. It's a lot more complicated than readers might initially think (both in the bible and in SF haha).

This is really interesting!
rufiangel 31st Oct 2014, 11:57 AM edit delete reply
It may have come in a gentle whisper of a dream at night, each name one by one... meanings that go deeper than expected and transcend dimensions... :P
rufiangel 31st Oct 2014, 11:56 AM edit delete reply
You're welcome! :D

Yes, I was actually a little surprised by how many people I managed to catch off-guard with Cain's confession. XD; It's probably a mark of how unlikely it seems with Cain's current countenance.

As a side-note, Was Abel always not an upright guy? :) I'll leave that for readers to figure out~
Seabiscuit 29th Oct 2014, 10:19 PM edit delete reply
Wow...So that's what happened. Damn, and poor Kylie, too.
Woah. Well, given their names, I figured it had to be something close to that...;D
rufiangel 31st Oct 2014, 12:01 PM edit delete reply
Ehehehe, yep. :) The names were definitely a huge giveaway! Still, I'm having fun seeing that people were still taken aback by Cain's confession XD
Zor15 29th Oct 2014, 10:21 PM edit delete reply
Why did Cain try to kill Abel and how the heck did his father die instead????
rufiangel 31st Oct 2014, 12:01 PM edit delete reply
I'm totally open to listening to theories from readers! :D

I just love her hair in panel 3.
rufiangel 31st Oct 2014, 12:01 PM edit delete reply
Yay, thank you! :D Hair is like my favouritest thing to shade, if the most time-consuming at times. XD;;;
Lukkai 30th Oct 2014, 7:01 AM edit delete reply
Hehe, Kylie's face in that second to last panel is priceless. :D

But there's more to both these stories, one can tell. As for Kylie's for example there remains the question of how many of these people were already dead BEFORE her LCF. Or more precisely: What caused it. Especially seeing the blood on her clothes there that doesn't seem to be hers.
As for Cain: Well he basically just opened the lid to a whole can of questions. Why, how, was it before or after the torture we saw... And that's only the beginning.
rufiangel 31st Oct 2014, 12:04 PM edit delete reply
I did have a feeling that these few pages would probably make readers ask more questions than it answers. XD; But I am really pleased by the details you picked up already (like the blood on Kylie's clothes).

These two characters have really mad complicated pasts but hopefully readers won't mind pulling it apart a thread at a time. :D
Allzephyr 30th Oct 2014, 7:01 AM edit delete reply
Well.... sh#t. Kylie's sin is understandable but Cain's? I never saw something like that coming. (I was still thinking along the lines of human transmutation)

Kylie's face in panel seven though. The old "oh crap I've been bashing a prince around for months" face.
Lukkai 31st Oct 2014, 12:39 AM edit delete reply
Well, let's not judge until we know some details about the act and his reasons for it. Seems to me that there is quite a lot behind it all.
rufiangel 31st Oct 2014, 12:05 PM edit delete reply
Human transmutation! XDDD I guess the 'unforgivable sin' thing just echoed too strongly of FMA!

Kylie is pretty surprised but she gets over it extremely quickly. XD;;; (And goes back to treating him like always.)
Allzephyr 31st Oct 2014, 10:24 PM edit delete reply
I imagined a giant montage of all the times she bullied and/or tried to kill him whirling around her head while thinking "A prince?".

Manga does things to you. It really does.

'Manga does things to you. It really does.'

Well, since Cain is now no longer of royalty, I doubt Kylie cares too much now. XD;;;
Prayformercy 31st Oct 2014, 4:19 AM edit delete reply
Who hasnt tried to kill their brother at least once?
rufiangel 31st Oct 2014, 12:09 PM edit delete reply
You can include 'sisters' in that question, too. XD; My sister and I have probably (during the times of childhood and adolescence) wanted to strangle each other multiple times. (... Probably her more than me, though, I was such a brat XD) But now, we just love each other to bits. :D

Hellooo! :D

And hehehe, thanks! :D I admit I'm kind of pleased by how many people I managed to catch off-guard with this one, despite the names XD Tee hee!
HeSerpenty 2nd Nov 2014, 11:19 AM edit delete reply
I really gotta know WHY Cain wanted to kill Abel XDD

I'm quite familiar with the "Cain n Abel" from the Bible...which has parallels with the Cain n Abel HERE it seems. But I can't help thinking our Cain's reasons just...HAD to be more than just jealousy. AM I RIGHT OR WRONG I MUST KNOW QAQ

The initial cause of the LCF? Seia told her to chill out. Things just snowballed from there.
Hmm so by association would that make their father the gold mage? What has happened to their mother thus far?

Hahaha, that's an interesting train of thought! :)

Their mother is still alive~
