... *cowers* sorry XD not-so-dynamic entry to the weekend!

By the way, this is now a thing:

Please click to visit the journal entry I have on DA that basically explains it all. You can also visit the previous comic and check the author's note there. :)

So far: thank you so much guys for your support! ;__;* Not just the guys who sent me monies (and you guys are beautiful) - also just for the general support in the comments. Honestly, you guys are the bestest readers ever. Here is a little 'tracker' of sorts. XD;;

I will update it whenever there is a change. :) Thank you so much!! (And you guys who donated - you'll get something in your PMs from me over the weekend. :D)

So... Vio and Ardent. The two Great Sages of Archaeian lore. Here, let me show a little snippet of the short prequel to Serpamia Flare I drew several years ago:

Oh, yeah. Totally badass pair. XD;;; Oh, Vio. Ardent. One day, I will draw you two again.

Thank you everyone for being generally supportive of this little history segment. I was really happy to have the chance to explain the world a little! Next Monday, a slight change of pace.

Have a fantastic weekend, and see you guys on Monday! <3

*snort* I'm... I'm sorry XD The moment I saw "No. of boxes of Lindt choco" I couldn't help myself XDDD Also, Vio and Ardent, ah... they are still people, after all <3

But yays :D The mural is so purdy still, and that root system is interesting... *more contemplation on kori village aquafall in order*
rufiangel 23rd Jan 2015, 6:55 PM edit delete reply
You have contributed my dear Cici-muffin to the well-being of my elves, to make sure they are well fed on choco <3

And Vio and Ardent... XD; In the short story I drew, they weren't known as the Great Sages just yet, to be fair. XD;;

I'm so happy you find it all purdy and interesting <333 :D It was worth taking a week to do this! The Kori Village aquafall might take some time before I can get back to it, but yes... there is definitely something going on there that isn't natural at all. ;)

As a Swiss, I must say that Lindt chocolate is in fact quite decent. And available in large numbers and a wide area. Certainly not the worst choice.
rufiangel 24th Jan 2015, 9:35 PM edit delete reply
Hahaha, looks like I have it on good authority then that my elves are being fed quality choco ;D
Lukkai 25th Jan 2015, 12:52 PM edit delete reply
Respect ma authority! ;)

Now I'm just waiting for the first person to ask me the right way to eat Toblerone. (Which is still quite popular in Switzerland, by the way. It's not just a gag for tourists.)

And some day, I'll make a Shadowrun chara and call him (or more likely her) "Ma Authority", just so that the first sentence in this comment can be used as a bad pun.
rufiangel 26th Jan 2015, 12:24 AM edit delete reply
How do you eat Toblerone? o_O;; Is there a method? I eat the stuff all the time, it's delicious. >_>;;; (Never really thought of it as a Swiss gag for tourists, given its fairly staple presence in HK. XD;;)

And yes, do that. XD;;;
Lukkai 26th Jan 2015, 7:49 AM edit delete reply
You break off the cones in singles or doubles, then put those pieces in your mouth whole. No danger for jaw, nose or anything that way.

Pro-tip: Don't just chew and swallow. Suck on it for a while.

By the way: Do you get Lindor chocolate balls where you live?
rufiangel 26th Jan 2015, 10:11 AM edit delete reply
Huh, alrighty, I'll give that a go next time! :D

And yes, I do get Lindor chocolate balls. Expensive little buggers but damned if I don't find them the most luscious little chocoballs ever. <3

Wow, great history lesson...

@alt text: Yeah, Kylie needs to know... :p

rufiangel 24th Jan 2015, 2:23 PM edit delete reply
Hahaha, Kylie already knows after the side story chat, remember? XD

(HAHAA That alt text)
Awwww....Vio and Ardent are so cute...!
It makes me legit sad knowing they're dead in SFs time. You should totally post that prequel.;_;

Beautiful lore images again. Damn man. Especially the one showing all the races in dat 2nd panel!
(Oh god Lindt they make the BEST CHOCOLATE)
rufiangel 24th Jan 2015, 2:27 PM edit delete reply
Ehehehe, thanks so much seabiscuit!! *huggle* :D I'm really glad to know the murals look good! I particularly had fun in depicting the races uniquely so... XD

I'd post the prequel already if it weren't so terrible... XDD;;; it's hilariously bad in too many places! But one day I'll get around to redoing it!

And Lindt choco is one of my favourite kinds >_<)/

Aaaaah, it's all coming together! :D

Is it just me or is that snippet of Vio and Ardent...are their designs a little similar to the younger looks of Cain and Abel? LOL I could just be making up things in my head cuz I"m getting too excited XDD

Anyways great page! I love these little illustrations that are explaining the history!
rufiangel 24th Jan 2015, 2:29 PM edit delete reply
Yayyy! :D so glad you enjoyed the history lecture ahahaha! Now, back to our regularly scheduled program, lol XD

I will refrain from commenting on the Cain/Abel resemblance between them and Vio/Ardent. :P When it's safe to do so nearer to the end, I will! (Or I could just be throwing red herrings here XD)

You know you've spent too much time working in a hospital when you immediately go 'uterus' for panel 4 lol.
rufiangel 24th Jan 2015, 2:30 PM edit delete reply
Ahahahaha!! I totally see it now, too! XDDD
Lukkai 24th Jan 2015, 2:51 PM edit delete reply
And somehow I even think the analogy works.
Spellodello 24th Jan 2015, 5:56 AM edit delete reply
Oooh, another beautiful page! I know you said those stick figure-murals gave you some trouble but I defintely think they were worth it! This is gorgeous. Andd, boo cliffhanger... I think something bad might happen soon.

(Poor Cain, not able to finish his story)
rufiangel 24th Jan 2015, 2:32 PM edit delete reply
Aww yay, thank you so much for your encouraging words Spellu~~~ <333 it really makes me happy to feel the trouble at the time was worth it! XD;;

Hopefully this will be enough to get readers on board with the rest of the characters when I start doing the slightly more epic crap. XD;;
kelverse 24th Jan 2015, 10:31 AM edit delete reply
Aaaaaaah I really really love mythology type stuff like this, I just think it's the absolute best! This was really great to read and now I'm all caught up since I'd been forgetting to read.
rufiangel 24th Jan 2015, 2:34 PM edit delete reply
Awwww yayayy! XD I'm glad to get your approval Rinkel since I really admire your world building <333

I was worried about this week's strips because they're kind of info-dumpy but it seems like it was okay so thank you muchly for reading and giving reassurance XD;; *huggles*
kelverse 24th Jan 2015, 3:05 PM edit delete reply
Well, you'll always have one die-hard fan of world building stuff like this! I just really love mythology and how different cultures and people see the world differently and how those things can seem really similar to things from other cultures and it's just so great.
Jarvi 24th Jan 2015, 2:19 PM edit delete reply
Oh I really want some picture of the sages :D
rufiangel 24th Jan 2015, 2:35 PM edit delete reply
Gehhhh but what art I do have of them is painfully bad XD

(but if you see me and ask me while I'm on you-know-where then I can probably screenshu you some terrible art >__>)
ptmc 24th Jan 2015, 9:35 PM edit delete reply
I wanna see it too!
rufiangel 25th Jan 2015, 12:40 AM edit delete reply
What whyyy XD;;;

I'll try to showcase some of the better panels on FB and/or Twitter next week, then... >_>
Lukkai 24th Jan 2015, 2:52 PM edit delete reply
Okay, that was both entertaining and informative, rea...
