Have you guys noticed I added two more perma-links above? I added one for tumblr, which is of course, Friday Flare, and one for the Discord chat. I hope that they're useful additions! Unfortunately, I'm not really fond of their position on the page and I don't like how they push the comic page down a notch, but I also don't know if putting the buttons on the bottom of the page is a good idea. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated. ;v;*
I am not going to make promises on Friday Flare this time since I keep dropping the ball there, but of course I'll post here if I DO update it. ;)
I hope you enjoy today's update - thank you for reading!! <3 I'll see you guys on Monday with the next update!
Looks like Balzac is realizing that Kylie is a good deal stronger than he thought. He may be tough to beat, but not impossible. He's there to test her, but not get trashed in the process. ;)
As far as buttons go, the little bit they move the page down is (to me) negligible. I wouldn't worry about that.
He's certainly re-assessing how much effort he needs to put in for this match, yep! ;D
And thank you megados for the feedback on the buttons! A common criticism of webcomic websites I've heard is headers or other buttons being too large on the top of the page, pushing the comic page too far down, which is why I fret. XD; So your feedback means a lot to me! :D
Balzac seriously can't get on the offensive here at all. Not even useful counter attacks O.O Although I feel like if it continued, Kylie would eventually run out of stamina and the tide would change again. But I have a feeling he senses she's got a REAL reason to win this (versus his pride, lol) and I wouldn't be surprised if he backs down.
You are very correct about Kylie's stamina being an issue. Balzac is certainly no longer grinning, but so far, he isn't getting hit very much, either. He's got excellent defenses :'D
I think you'll see how accurate your assessment of Balzac is on the next page ;) fufufu~
Ruby is certainly feeling just a liiittle bit of 'whoopsie daisy' here, given she really only cared to mess with Balzac and didn't think about the opponent all that much XD;;;
Briar is going to keep sparkling for a while yet, he's very excited XD <3
And thank you for the reassurance on the buttons! >3<*)/ Much appreciated, Kat <3
Aww geez, thank you DLK, that's super kind of you!! ;v;** I'm glad you're enjoying it!
As for the positioning, I can always try shifting it around but whereabouts were you thinking - below the archive button and above the post comment button, or below the post comment button? >_>?
Sur-ren-der, sur-ren-der! XDDD (I'm guessing it's either he's nope-ing out of fighting her before she does anything too crazy... or his bet has been fulfilled and there's no need to keep going)
Either way, this might be good for Kylie, though the consumed spirit is gonna be crippling if she still has more fights to go (and I'm betting there's at least one or two more). Balzac, give healies!!!
(For the buttons, I think they're fine in placement, they're not distracting or anything. If you'd rather them not taking as much space or you feel that they are a bit distracting, you can just make them slightly smaller than the rest of the nav buttons potentially)
Hehehe, that's a very valid guess - it'll all become clear on the next page XD <3
There's just one more fight to go! Kylie's a little knocked down HP and Spirit wise, and unless Balzac casts a boost to Spirit replenishment, she's gonna be struggling a little longer yet to replenish that. In Archaiea Spirit replenishes naturally over time, just reeeeally slowly. XD; Michael gave Kylie a seal to help boost that, but then she lost it, sooo... dangit, of all the times to not have that, eh? :'D
And thanks dear for the suggestion on the buttons, I think that's an excellent idea. I'll try shrinking them down later and see if that reduces the clutter and gap a wee bit. ;v;*
If Balzac is a really good cleric, it is possible he will intuit the difference between someone who is fighting like they want to win, and someone who is fighting like they need to win. If he does that, and then responds appropriately, it will probably blow Kylie away and I foresee prezzies for Balzac at some point in the future. ^_^
Of course, you don't meet clerics with that degree of insight all that often. On the other hand, they wouldn't have made him a clerical examiner for the World Guild if he didn't have some talents. ^_^
That said, the next page will make it fairly clear just how good of a cleric Balzac is in regards to his insight and/or abilities, so we'll seeee... ;)
(And you're right - he definitely wouldn't be an examiner in the World Guild without *some* cred! ;D)

Omg Briar though xDD he's going to start glowing from the amount of sparkles he's emitting there xD
I think the buttons on the page are fine, btw :)

Regarding the additional links, is it possible to post them between the bottom of the comic and above the authors notes?

Of course, I do agree with Megados, it's not really that much of a culture shock to see them at the top either.
Anyway, I looked back and it looks like that's the same chant Seia used for Frost Field, back here:

Oh, is he going to yield??? (noooo clifff!!!) *falls of cliff*
