Hello folks, happy Friday~ I hope everyone's been staying on the up and up despite all the downage. >3<*
This page marks the last time we saw Jaguar, in case you need a refresher on the last time he was around. :3
Have you guys been playing any games or reading any books during this time? I just finished AI: The Somnium Files, which was pretty fun and kind of a combination of the two activities, lol.
All you folks working hard in essential businesses, thank you so much for your hard work. m(_ _)m
Stay safe and entertained dear readers, and see you next week! >v<*)/
Seia has + 15 perception. He's bound to beat Jaguar's stealth roll! How many needles does he have, is the question now.
Staying in mostly. Doing some little repair projects, that I had been putting off, and playing some remote D&D on Roll-20 with Discord for comm, currently doing the DOA content. We have a sort of big yard, so there's yard work and we can get outside. The thing is, sometimes it's that knowing you have to stay put makes you want to get out! LOL Mad props to essential workers!
Jaguar's got plenty more needles up his sleeves! *realises he has no actual sleeves* errrr, his proverbial sleeves...
It's kind of neat to know people are taking time to do things that they didn't have time for before, such as repairs or cleaning up :3 A yard is definitely unheard of in Hong Kong, so please do make great use of it! XD; It must be nice to have a big yard :3
I hope you're having fun with Roll20 and friends on a remote basis :3 I'm doing just fine, no worries here~
First time posting but having been following for years. Wanted to say how glad I am that this comic is back and how much I enjoy reading it.
I am greatful to the people who have worked so hard through this but I feel the need to say that the biggest sacrifice is coming from our local “non essential” small businesses. I own a small hobby store in an economically challenged town. The overwhelming support from my community is the only reason we are holding our heads above water and I love my community now more than ever. They have chosen the awkward and cumbersome curbside option instead of buying online. They call just to see how we are doing. They buy gift certificates, early birthday gifts, and whatever they can think of just to make sure we will still be here when we reach the other side.
Please remember your own local small businesses. They need your support right now, even if it is just an encouraging word.
Hello Abbeyinc! :D Thank you so much for taking the time to write a comment and let me know your thoughts, it's much appreciated ;v;* <3
It's very true that the small businesses are getting hit really hard during this time. Thanks for the reminder that they need support as well ;v;* My thoughts are with your small hobby store - hang in there! The support from your community is surely a sign of how much they love you and your business. <3
Most people can only dream of looking anywhere near as cool as Seia's dodge lol, you always manage to make him so badass <3 And Jaguar's also back! Are we gonna get a frozen popsikitty, or will Seia become a tiny pincushion?
Been playing Divinity OS 2 and Bioshock Infinite, but not a whole lot of reading for me beyond webcomics XP Still much fun tho!
D'aww geez XD I'm glad you liked Seia's dodge~ lolol. I wondered for a moment why Seia would become a tiny pincushion, and then remembered that all things become tiny in the land of the Cici-chibi XD <3
Those are games I have heard about or watched LPs of (or both) - how's Divinity OS 2 treating you so far? :3
I have webcomics I need to catch up on! The moment I can get out of the mindset of 'I could be working on SF right now ._.' between vidya, I'll be glad to actually do that XD;;
Divinity OS 2 is a wonderful game, I'm considering doing a second run with different choices once I finish my current one. The choices I make are AWFUL XD Sometimes I think I'm helping, but I only make it worse for everyone involved. I think it embodies "there is no right or wrong, only consequences", except sometimes it's "wrong or more wrong".
I also have a bunch of webcomics to catch up on, but I think we're both in the vidya/paging pit XDDD
Oh no XDDD I will be sure to talk to you about stuff if I ever get to checking out Divinity OS 2 :D just so I can find out what AWFUL choices you made LOL
And man this vidya/paging pit is deep, but it's so snug XD
Hmm...Seia isn't at his best here, and who is to say Ophelia won't interrupt...
As far as games, I WAS playing the new Animal Crossing, but I guess I got too overwhelmed with the debt you get in game and also working on a story arc here for my comic as well...
It's all a matter of how well Ophelia rolled on initiative, really ;P
I heard that debt is sort of the driving motivation between AC games! Well, somewhat anyway, lol. At least the latest one asks for your permission first? :'D
I do like the realization: "Hey! Someone blocked something! Oh, I guess that must have been me. Wonder what it was? Oh, hey! Aren't those needles? That was pretty cool! I should probably see where they came from."
You know DLK, I this page may have already been it, in terms of Seia wiping the smirk off Jaguar's face XD he certainly wasn't pleased by him blocking his first was-meant-to-be-a-surprise-attack!
(Nemi certainly would not object to Seia smacking Jaguar around a bit, I can tell you that much, lol XD)
It's always fun to read expectations or predictions from readers :D see how this pans out~
That's a fun thought XD I'd say that you're right to a degree - needles do require some extra precision to wield, but Seia's accuracy is on the higher end. While he's not trained in this particular weapon class, if he were to be disarmed at any point in battle, he could probably make do with needles in a pinch... maybe.
So I have been on a mini piling-up streak (that is, waiting for pages of webcomics I regularly read to pile up so I can binge them later) and I figured "let's see how Serpamia Flare is doing; been a while since I've been here last and I like it very much, so let's see." And what a delightful surprise it was! A bunch of pages that all reminded me how much i like this comic. Each and every one of them!
As far as games go, been expanding my Final Fantasy horizons recently. Had some lying around (my FF skills were rather lackluster when I was younger, so they've been gathering the proverbial dust for a while), so I decided to go for it with a fresh, experienced mind.
I've actually had FF13 and 13-2 just lying there, so I figured "why not?" They were... honestly OK. Nothing that special, honestly, but fine. I also went for FF10 and liked it very much. I'm actually gonna go for 4 next, since I already possess it. FF7 remake is going to have to wait, actually.
Jaguar throws three knives. Ineffective. Jaguar throws three knives again, while sulking. Still ineffective. Jaguar lashes out emotionally at Seia for being a jerk. Seia feels stronger. XD
Thank you Matt ;v;** that is super encouraging, especially from the dude who produces some truly rad action sequences! I'm always sort of experimenting I feel like with action pages and colour, so I'm happy if you feel it looks decent <3 >v<*)9
Not much in the way of games, just solitaire (sometimes with real cards & sometimes the computer).
Bookstores and comic shops are shut down as "non-essential" so mainly reading books around the house.
I haven't played a game of solitaire in a while - that sure brings back memories~ I hope you've got some decent books around the house :3
I wonder if he gets frozen (popcicle) or how Seia will deal with him...
@alt text: well, did he roll a nat 1 for his stealth? =P
*hugs Rufi*
If he'd rolled a natural one for stealth, he would have probably fallen out of the tree XD; He rolled well, it's just that Seia rolled higher ;P
A part of me wishes he wouldn't maintain his title just because it's such a mouthful and annoying to fit in speechbubbles, but that's on me XD

Do it for Nemi, Seia, she owes him one!!!!
(Or, Ophelia can mediate and end the fight, but where's the fun in that!)
(Nemi certainly would not object to Seia smacking Jaguar around a bit, I can tell you that much, lol XD)

Which FFs have you decided to go for with a fresh and experienced mind? :3 I know people have been playing the FF7 Remake quite a bit lately!
