Heya folks, happy Friday! Sorry about the update going up several hours late - I sort of forgot to schedule it this week on time ^_^;;; My bad.
I hope you enjoyed Lyn's brief recap of his history - next update, we'll finally see a couple of characters that I haven't drawn in aaages! XD;
But I must announce a mini-break here, as I really have not been in the right headspace for a while now and I need a bit of time to catch back up to a place I'm comfortable with for SF updates. We'll skip the update next Friday, and the next update will go up on the 10th of July instead. Thank you all for your very kind understanding. ;v;* I'll definitely respond to all the missed comments in-between!
In the meantime, please check out Égaré, the contest submission I mentioned I'd been helping to shade since a couple of weeks ago. The short story will conclude this weekend, so if you haven't checked it out already, now would be a great time to do so! :)
Another thing I wanted to mention (a bit belatedly but I figured giving it some time for kinks to get ironed out wasn't a bad idea) - the amazing Kyo has created an Infinite Scroll version of ComicFury comic pages. You can check it out from the first page for Serpamia Flare right here. It should make for reading through archives in one shot a fairly streamlined and less painful process than clicking through every page, with alt-text and comments still preserved through coding magic :) Let me know what you guys think of it!
That's it from me for now. Please stay safe and healthy everyone during these times, and remember to love one another. <3 Thank you so much for reading SF! ;v;*)/
Well, that explains that - but how was Lyn able to take the vow? did the slavers not try to intervene there?
@alt text: Yeah, I figured. If Mama was to tell Kylie, she would tell him, too =P
@a/n: no problem, everbody forgets something every now and then =P
Yup, was a nice (though not a happy) recap
Ok, enjoy your break, Rufi *hugs* <3
Well, thank you for participating in Égaré, Rufi <3
Well, I really do not like the "endless scroll" type of format - that is why I hardly check out any comics on tapas and sites like that... =S
Edit: after checking the link out: well, that format is better than tapas & co...
...and that link works also for all other ComicFury comics... :o
Hey, @Rufiangel. I hope things go well with you. I know 'headspace' can sometimes get tricky, so I wish you the best.
It is kind of interesting to me that, ordinarily one thinks of vows whose utility is in keeping them. For Lyn and his fellow monks it seems the utility of a vow is in the breaking of them, instead. You don't make a vow without planning to break it at some time in the future and get some use from it thereby. Thought-provoking (at least for me.)
Awesome update, I actually wasn't expecting anything until next week. Take your time, find your happy place, and we'll still be here for you!
Mikey's reaction at the end? how can anyone NOT like this guy???? Cain may be the cleric, but it seems like Mikey is the spiritual backbone of the group!
*pap pap* Rest up and just take some time in the nice feels zone <3
Was it a long while since the LCF when Lyn saw the aftermath? Because if not, someone built that memorial stone real fast. But now we know how he got from monk-hood to Briar's bodyguard.
Lyn just looks too sweet >3< He deserves all the Mikey pats.
He found his 'right time'! He couldn't have found a better one IMO. . . . And here he is! :D
As I always keep saying, if you need 'me-time' for yourself, take it. Better to have you doing well, than to have pages. Not that I don't miss seeing pages, but not at the expense of your own wellbeing.
Yes, I have noticed and tried infinite scrolling! It's a great idea, and works great for binge reading!
