Hey folks, I hope your Friday is going swell so far~ I have a few things this A/N round to say, so please do read on and check the TL;DR at the end if you're feeling lazy XD
So finally, Kylie and Cain appear after so dang long. I swear it's an ordeal having to remember how to draw Cain again :P His dang coat!
What Lyn doesn't know, and what Kylie is sweating bullets about, and what Cain and Mikey also know but aren't saying out loud - just in case readers need a refresher, this is all alluding to the fact that Kylie had a Lethiace Control Failure in Halehurst. There's, uh, a lot to unpack there, so you can probably expect she won't be telling Lyn any time too soon.
Now, time to showcase a wonderful wonderful piece of fanart that the talented sister of Cici-muffin, Miss Zoe (also known as Zoe-cupcake but only to me), sent my way not long ago ;v;* <3 Calling it a gift basket, I opened it up and found these little scamps looking up at me:
And then I hugged the heck out of all of them, plus Zoe-cupcake and Cici-muffin, 'cause they are all so so adorable and precious and thank you so much!! ;v;** <333 It did much to lift my recently tuckered-out spirits, and I am so grateful and blessed. Thank you so much <333
Speaking of being tuckered out, I have an announcement to make that is less than great but a bit necessary. I hope the sense of foreboding isn't too awful ^_^; But I'll be taking a break from posting further updates this July and will begin posting again in the first week of August. From a practical standpoint, I'm currently working a temp job most days of the week, but it'll finish by the end of July and I'll be able to have more time to work on comic things in August. But there's also the fact I just have a lot going on, not all of it is bad per se - it's just a lot, and I've lost my comic buffer so I need to build it back up. I've been in a tired and sad state for some time as well, and I need to sort of take some time to get a grip again.
Thank you all for reading SF and for being so patient, truly - I know it's been a little bit hiccuppy lately with the updates, but we'll get through this rough patch and progress into the more interesting bits of Chapter 9, dangit!

Yep, everyone got a bit of a fancy wardrobe change, eh? XD Well, Kylie and Mikey did, anyway. These are outfits purchased from Jem Citadel, the last point of visit, which is why they have the Jem Citadel emblems and gold-jewel motifs. :3 (I guess that's why they come across as extra fancy XD)
And you are correct! Kylie is very happy indeed to have Lyn around :3 we'll see about her protectiveness of her baby brother, hehe...
And thank you for your understanding and patience with the need for a break. It's been for practical reasons as well as mental ones. I want to avoid sinking into a burnout as bad as the last one I had so I'm doing my best to be careful and kind to myself, but also trying to balance and not be *too* easy on my discipline XD it's a hard balance to strike at times!

Well hello I'm new. I've just binge read from start to now. It took me a few days to get caught up. I just want to say I really enjoy the story and art. It was sort of odd reading comments from years ago as I went and not being able to say hello or what I liked on each one. I got really nervous when the dates stretched out between updates but I'm so glad you are continuing a fantastic story.
