Happy Friday folks! Thank you so much for your kind words and understanding my need for a break, dear readers. ;v;* I'm on my way to recharging, thankfully!
This page sees two familiar faces return - Kizu, a Caelune officer (she's been taking the gang around Caelune), and Milo, an old friend of Nemi's. While their first appearance is a bit earlier, I think this page and the next give a bit more insight to their characters.
We have a handful of formalities to get out of the way before Nemi's inquiry really begins in earnest. I hope you guys enjoy all the 'courtroom drama' :P
This week, the last episode of the It Takes Two playthrough by Myl and yours truly went up. I highly recommend this game if you haven't already played it! Last episode wraps up the whole game and story, with a review episode to go up later. <3 Thanks Myl for the super fun time! :D Click below for the handy dandy playlist so you can watch from the start if you'd like~
That's it from me, for now. Thanks so much for reading, and see you next week with a new update! >3<*)/
Okay, I already don't particularly like This 'Presider'. That kind of remark is uncalled for, and that level of irritation might be expected if Nemi had been disruptive throughout an hours-long session. I think Nemi got the hint.
"Well, if you hadn't called me here wasting my time for your pretentious nonsense I wouldn't be wasting yours..." It's the RIGHT and WRONG thing to say at the same time.
Certain people are always like this, and they deserve the exact response they generally get (which is vastly different from the respect they desire and think they are enforcing).
I imagine it wouldn't have taken much for everyone to hear Shera, with everyone's exceptional hearing for drama XD But yeah, Nemi, please don't antagonize the people who hold your freedom in their hands ;^; We want you to be freeeeee~
(We have not met the mysterious blue one in the first panel, have we?)
That made me suddenly imagine the entire inquiry being quietly intoned under their breath, while Kylie, Cain and Lyn in the gallery are just staring and wondering why the inquiry hasn't begun yet XD
Just FYI, @Rufiangel, it looks like your link to “the next” got messed up somehow in the author commentary. (fixed)
As for the page — lovely art and nice characterization. The situation rubs me the wrong way on a number of levels, but I suspect that is largely intentional and I look forward to seeing how it plays out.
Thank you Gil for pointing out the weird link issue! It's due to CF's server change I think - the links direct to either https or http and that causes some hiccups. >_>a Fixed it after you pointed it out!
And thank you very much for your kind review of the page <3 I hope you'll enjoy how it plays out, even if it does feel sandpapery at times XD;
Yup, you can guess that much was discussed during their travels! Sometimes you forget, though, that was seems basic to others may still need to be drilled into some people... ;v;
You're very welcome for the links! :D Honestly, I feel like I could use another week or two to recharge, but that's because I'm lazy XD
We saw Kylie, etc., speaking with Rory at a conference between Kijiini and Danrir in what appears to be one locale. Now we are seeing them as spectators at a hearing on an apparent Kijiini internal mattter at what appears to be a different venue. I could understand there being a scene change, but in that case, why were Kylie, etc., admitted to the conference. They would seem to have no business there. (Although the readers need to know what is going on. ^_^)
Court proceedings are typically public so anyone who wants to (and here: can get into the country) can show up and observe. Which is not to say partake. Truce talks are much more likely to not be open to the general public. Rory and Kylie and company are on the public tribune to this court, not the truce talks. You can see that on page 619.
I guess I was confused by the cutaway from 621 to 622. It seemed to me that Rory was covering the conference, not the tribunal, Especially since the Hall of Peace is brightly lit and open and we see them clearly as they talk, while the tribunal is dim and shadowy. But I can see how you are correct, @A._Mouse.
@Gil: Gah, sorry that things seemed confusing! I guess I should have added the darker contrast to the watching gallery as well, and not just in the 'courtroom'. I tried to signpost the shift to Aen Luce with the headings, but in hindsight I perhaps should have done the same for Caelune. I'll look back and see if I can add those to make the transition clearer.
Ahaha, I'm glad you like the aesthetic Wido! :D I used some filters to get the lighting to look more dramatic in the 'courtroom', lol. ;) Getting Nemi under a spotlight looks more significant when the rest of the room is cloaked in shadow ;P

Sometimes, the kinds of people holding the reins are the ones that need lots of pie thrown in their faces.

(I don't think so! :P mysterious bluuue~)

Or, as Egg Shen says, "All movement in the Universe is the result of tension between Positive and Negative Furies."
Someone should get a vendor up there to sell peanuts to them viewers XD
well, they had so much time - she was so long in her cell... (and of course the traveltime)
good idea, Cain...
@R/N: great, you could recharge =) *hugs*
Thank you for the links 😃
