This page in particular took a while. Originally, this page and the last were meant to be a single page in my thumbnails, but in actually drawing it out I felt that the 'montage' would benefit from being given more space.
I hope you enjoy today's update~ thanks so much for reading, and see you next week! :3
Children are wonderful in their innocence and lack of prejudice. I think a lot of what troubles Nemi is that seeing the "enemy" she's probably been taught to hate, being so kind and interacting like just another person with her family is challenging some of the ideas she's grown up with. She also probably knows if they are caught or her family seems to sympathetic towards the "enemy" later as a result there will be bad consequences. That is just my 2 cents,
I missed this comment the first time round, MST3K, so you get a response many months later XD
Nemi faced more direct discrimination that her siblings were either too young to understand or simply didn't experience (yet?), so her attitude was a lot more hardened. Not to mention that whole 'I'm the eldest and the parent substitute' thing she has to shoulder. :')
The situation certainly creates some very mixed feelings for her. :')
;-)
Of course, we can guess how Nemi got it trouble here...taking the hit for her siblings.
