I wonder exactly to whom ‘we’ refers to here. Is Stiles talking about coming from a large family himself, or does he mean his local village? Or is this an aspect of Danrir culture being hinted at?
I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop here...
when Nemi and Michael first talked about the differences, Nemi had said that Every Danrir she had ever met was a brute.
Certainly applied to the raiders at the oasis, but the Styles is not being brutish by any measure anyone could take!
I'm holding my breath and hoping that Nemi mis-spoke when she said that
ps. I'm guessing that "Kids like her" is referring to Michael and Jinn when they were young and first orphaned.
You could certainly chalk it up to me forgetting that she said that. After all, it was many years ago! Surely I don't keep meticulous notes! Or maybe Nemi misspoke, like you said!
I think Naru is special. I haven't' quite figured out exactly how she is special. Perhaps it is her unique and innocent view of life. As my youngest has autism perhaps she too experiences the world in a unique way and sees things in absolutes.
Cute Naru needs all the hugs!
And Naru would love all the hugs, I'm sure XD

You're quite close in one of those guesses! What Stiles means will be revealed next page :D
