Happy Friday, folks! I hope you're having a good start to your weekend so far. It's been pretty gloomy on this side of the world with all the grey clouds, thunderstorms and pouring rain. Still, I suppose it's thematically appropriate to say it's been raining cats and dogs...? :'D *runs*
A rather silly Friday Flare post went up today as well, btw XD Feel free to check it out! And remember, if you have any pairing doodle requests or SF-related questions for Q&A, feel free to hit me up with them for Friday Flare~ ^3^*
Thanks so much for reading SF, everyone! ;v;* The next update is in the chamber already, so I'll see you guys next week with it!
She is. The prosecutor, however, is using crafted "yes-no" questions in an attempt to keep her from telling the WHOLE truth, which might exonerate her.
The whole truth, and nothing but the truth, well, maybe a TL;DR version will suffice, and maybe leave out the less-than-convenient parts of the truth, please.
@Scia: It's an interesting notion, the idea of what exactly that oath meant; is truth an objective thing that can be determined by magic? Does it work like a truth serum? Can people be tricksy about it? Hmmmmz
They reeeeally gotta get to a lunch appointment after this, they'll barely have time to make it back for another afternoon inquiry if they don't wrap this one up soon asap :P
...I just hope the friends can turn that farce of a trial around...
well, like she phrased the question first, poor Nemi could not have answered with yes, nor with no - but hopefully these orders will weaken the truth-compulsion...
...and thank you for the friday fare hams
@alt text: well, do peanuts exist? and where would they have gotten some? and would they have been able to smuggle them in???
And you're very welcome for the Friday Flare hams XD
As for peanuts, I'll have to think about that one XD probably a kind of peanut-something-else hybrid exists, similarly enough. Not sure they'd have them in Caelune but definitely available in big markets like Spherea's. Maybe it's a Karat thing? Let me think about this XD
(As for smuggling them in, I'd say as long as it wasn't Michael holding the bag, the Kijin guards would have been fine with it :P)
Ah, but the 'pointless elaborations' are where the Truth lies, unless, of course, it's not truth you're after, but expedience . . .
The whole truth, and nothing but the truth, well, maybe a TL;DR version will suffice, and maybe leave out the less-than-convenient parts of the truth, please.
You can be well and truly buggered with leading yes/no questions, but asking for truth has its own sharp edge too.
In some circles, the answer "mu" is short-hand for "Your question cannot be answered because it depends on incorrect assumptions."
Put another way: "The question cannot be truthfully answered as stated. Please restate your question and ask again."
...and did I mention it already?: poor Nemi...
it really looks like they want to fleece her...
